I love old time radio. Old time radio must have been placed in my memory as a baby and youngster. I was born in 1952.
Like television today radio used to have daily, weekly, monthly shows as well as special occasion presentations too. Many of the first TV shows were radio shows first. Each medium adopts the old then generates its own work as the medium finds its special features. TV has visuals though radio could keep listeners in suspense, drama, mystery and even a thriller. The radio broadcast of ‘War of the World’ caused panic all across the United States.
Those old enough to remember may enjoy a return to the past, those too young to have lived when radio was THE medium of entertainment and news, enjoy a trip to the past to learn how your elders grandparents experienced radio when radio was the message…
