Corporate has always longed for a why to spy on consumers without their knowing they are being watched and Corporate knew Internet would be a slow drive of the herd to the new technology of greener data mine fields. Today Myspace and Facebook has consumers giving up data that surveys and questionnaires could ever hope to find.

Corporate now knows when millions are sleeping, what they are reading, what movies they are watching and which channels you are watching on TV as well as your favorite websites and you also tell them why you are doing the things you are doing.

Corporate tracks your location via GPS and confirms it through your twitter and your MySpace account.

Soon with a Semantic Web where not only your every url visit is tracked but the Semantic Web will track every single piece of data. We now tag and categorize everything we do for Corporate to track us too and they want to track us even more by making every word of this sentence, this paragraph, this blog post not only traceable but linked to you as the reader and to me as the poster/writer of this piece of data lined information.

Corporate wants to know every time I use a word, read a word, and what comments I have made on posts, articles and images of the word and the words associated with the word. The Semantic Web is the perfect robot spy.

Corporate will not only know what web pages you visit, they will know what you download, what you ‘copy and paste’ and what picture you linger your eyes over. Yep, Internet is a road paved with gold, the land of OZ, the road of good intentions which of course is the same road to hell.

What is so amazing is not that Corporate wants us trapped in their web but that we have once again entangled ourselves with little attention to maintaining our privacy and our natural born sovereign rights.

Perhaps 2008 2009 will be the year we take back our sovereign identity and declare that some things are nobody’s damn business but our own.

Corporate knows it must allow us access to some good technology to keep us where we are while leading us where they wish us to go. Internet is great stuff. My only question is why are we allowing a small group of ruthless psychopathic cold blooded killers control over our lives?
