Police in northern India have arrested a 35 year old woman and charged her with culpable homicide for decapitating a man.

The woman told police that she’d been stalked and harassed by the man for months and that she’d been gathering grass for cattle fodder when she was attacked from behind as evidenced by bite marks on her neck and cheek.

In an effort to preserve her dignity she cut off his head with a sickle.
