My wife and I are the proud parents of a loving caring daughter. I can not imagine ever taking up a religion or a cause that would demand I require my daughter to change herself in any way to satisfy some outside expectation of what and how a sovereign individual should be. Especially when the leaders of such a movement are themselves such hypocrites when it comes to their own lives.

My wife’s side of the our family is loaded with preachers and church attendees. Its quite something that few of them, even the preachers in the family have read the bible, though I suspect that when I have mentioned a passage that points out the evil, nasty, and illogical ways of the Bible they conveinently forget that particular passage.

I have nothing against mythical Jesus anymore than I have anything against Santa Clause but Jesus was a Jew for christ sake!!!! What are we non-Jews doing worshiping a Jewish religion. They changed the name to christianity so its fine?

I’ve got nothing against multiculturalism, but we have a perfectly good mythical religion with Gods, Goddesses and all manner of loving nature, our fellow man and woman, our own form of government, yes indeed we do have our own thing!! It was good enough for my ancestors and its good enough for me that I certainly don’t need to adopt someone else’s religion.

It would be my religion of choice if not for the burden of my own seeking to knowing, having found Atheist as my proper label if I am to wear a label.

It certainly has been shown in the last eight years and in the last few days that these Dominionist will lie, cheat, and steal to get their way. What good is a religion if it doesn’t teach your daughter not to get pregnant at 17 years old!!!!

My daughter and her husband lived together for seven years before they got married. So being together unmarried is not wrong in my and my wife’s worldview. Yet it appears its OK even if it wrong in someeones world view if it happens to be their daughter instead of yours ;).
