Freedom of speech

It’s truly here at ToonDoo!

Because now you can do much more than you could with speech bubbles!

You can define and customize the shape, size, curvature and color of your speech bubbles.

And that’s not all, you can also add a shadowy touch to your bubbles!

Watch these two cool dudes as they have fun with the new found freedom…

To start using the new freedom of speech, simply select the first text bubble ‘Pro’ category from the Texts gallery.

Hi Dudes and Dudettes,

Now that the festivities have already begun with the Diwali special at ToonDoo, we decided to bring in the festive ’spirit’ of Halloween too!

So, here’s our all-new ‘No Tricks, only TREAT!’ Halloween collection of props featuring jack-o’-lanterns, scarecrow, witches hats and brooms, ghoul candy, cauldron, and more.  All these have been added to the ‘celebration’ gallery of the ToonDoo creator.

And if that’s not enough, your favorite Jambav bear gets a Halloween avatar too!
Check out his many scary Halloween-themed postures in the Jambav gallery.

Olympics galore!

Hi Dudes and Dudettes,

The Olympic season seems to be in full bloom at ToonDoo!

We saw many ToonDooers create a variety of imaginative toons around the theme of the Olympics. Special mention is due to ToonDooer bernd, whose extremely creative Olympic-themed toons won him many cheers and Editor Picks!

While these toons by bernd and others made ingenious use of the existing characters, props and backgrounds to bring out the Olympic spirit, they also inspired us to create some more gallery objects especially for the Olympics! So here it is, the better-late-than-never Olympic special collection…

This huge collection comprises almost 20 new backgrounds, 35 special stickmen and flags of 191 countries!!!

Check them all out under the sports, world and stickmen galleries!

You can also search them using the keywords ‘olympics’ and ‘beijing’

Have fun celebrating the spirit of the olympics with ToonDoo!

P.S. Do you need characters, props and backgrounds for any other special occasion or event coming up? (Or, even those not related to any particular occasion or event!) Let us know, right here!

The Toing of Plash!

In recent times, there have been a lot of wonderful (if cliched!) cartoon strips from Plash about day-to-day inanities in home and school life.

And, they all end with a quintessential, inimitable “Toing”…

When I asked him what exactly it was, he responded with a typical mimicked Sound Effect. :-) For Plash, it is almost a personal MacGuffin, something that he uses with great effect, to punch home a point. In situations like this, the best response is sometimes silence, and as silence is difficult to depict in a ToonDoo, he resorts to a LOUD silence, indicated by this Toing!

But, for all those around the world who are deprived of this aural experience, here is something that takes you pretty close.

Watch each of these ToonDoos, and when you reach the last frame, the one with the punch-line that says “Toing”, hit the Play Toing button that sits right underneath it…
Enjoy!

And, finally, Mr. Toing himself, in a very beautifully drawn lace curtain, caught unawares while in his bathroom perhaps!

Way to go, Plash! Doo More!!
