In recent times, there have been a lot of wonderful (if cliched!) cartoon strips from Plash about day-to-day inanities in home and school life.

And, they all end with a quintessential, inimitable “Toing”…

When I asked him what exactly it was, he responded with a typical mimicked Sound Effect. For Plash, it is almost a personal MacGuffin, something that he uses with great effect, to punch home a point. In situations like this, the best response is sometimes silence, and as silence is difficult to depict in a ToonDoo, he resorts to a LOUD silence, indicated by this Toing!

His local flavor (he writes often in his mother-tongue Tamil), combined with his wry sense of humor makes perfect reading for all those jilted lovers looking for solace.
